Vanadinite

Vanadinite is a brittle, dense, semi-precious mineral that is a primary source of vanadium and a minor source of lead.

Colors It Comes In - Bright-Red or Orange-Red, although sometimes Brown, Red-Brown, Grey,  Yellow, or colourless

Fracture - Conchoidal

Shape - Hexagonal

Luster - Greasy to Resinous to Adamantine

Texture - Smooth to Sugary

Streak - Brownish Yellow

Locality - Mexico, Argentina, Australia, Morocco, Namibia, and the southwestern United States.

Where It Can Be Found - Many of the world's most famous vanadinites are found in Mibladen & Morocco and exhibit thick, red, tabular crystals.
